Granger Church
WHO WE ARE
Granger Church
We are all God's children.
Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed.
What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him,
for we will see him as he is.
1 John 3:2
OUR BELIEFS
We are on a journey
We are Followers of Christ
The thoughts of one leader in the early church were true in the first century and remain true, especially in 2020 and the Covid-19 crisis. The world does not yet know what will be. The Followers of Christ do not yet know what will be. This is not the first global crisis and it will not be the last. Christ Followers will trust God will reveal what we are to be when God deems the time. Until that time, we trust in God.
Granger UMC knows this is a time of swift changes, disrupting traditions and feeling pressed to adapt. It is also a time to hold onto the principals that define Christ Followers. While our in-person worship services have been suspended, Granger UMC leaders have not been idle. Our top priority is re-forming the culture of this congregation.

OUR VALUES
We are family
God calls us to Love one another.
God calls Granger UMC to:
By the Grace of God...
By the grace of God, we will live into this culture.
Though the times are swirling with uncertainty, of this we are certain; God’s Will shall be revealed to those who are seeking to walk the Way of Christ. We invite you to walk with us as we follow Jesus Christ.
By the grace of God, we will live into this culture.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Come as you are
We want you to come just as you are. When you walk through our doors you may see people in suits and ties, but you will also see people in jeans and t-shirts. We want to make sure when you visit you are comfortable and that is all that matters to us. As long you are come through our doors, we want to make sure you feel loved and welcomed. If you ever need anything, always feel free to connect with us. We love to hear from our new visitors. We have visitors parking out front if you wish to use these spots. Then head to the front door which leads to the santuary,

Elaine Konyha
Office Manager
“ I wonder if the people who come to GUMC—visitors, members, pastors, friends—might be looking for room at the inn?” - Elaine greets you at the office online, on the phone and in person with a smile. She began her career at GUMC in 1981 and considers herself blessed by the people and pastors she has known and served over the years. Elaine and her husband, Guy, have two children. Anthony and his wife, Emily, who live in Brunswick with their 2 children and Elise who lives in Medina with her 2 children. Elaine’s perfect day is any day that includes time with any or all of them!
Lynne Rench
Director of Music
Lynne serves as our Director of Music and Organist. Throughout her 26 years as organist, pianist and choir director at GUMC, she has embraced many different genres of music. There is not a single style of music that I disapprove of - yes she has found some rap she enjoys. The most important aspect of her job is to provide the congregation a vehicle to joyously praise God!
Doug Patty

Doug serves as our Custodian. He has a passion for serving God and engaging in fellowship with others.
