The mission of OPEN M, a Christian ministry, is to provide pathways out of poverty for all by feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, and strengthening the community. We do this by offering five programs to the community, all with the common goal of breaking the cycle of poverty and improving the health of the community, one family at a time.

Church World Service

Church World Service was founded in 1946 and is a cooperative ministry of 37 Christian denominations and communities, providing sustainable self-help, development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance around the world. The CWS mission is to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice at the national and international level through collaboration with partners abroad and in the US. All occassion cards are available in the back of the sancuary for 5 dollars each. 100% of all money collected on the sale of these cards goes to Church World Service.

Highland Community

Support Network

Highland Community Support Network has supported families in the district in times of need. Granger UMC has been faithful in her support of HCSN over the decades .GUMC can reach out to our neighbors directly affected by the current economic uncertainty by sharing a contribution for the purchase of items families need. We can reach out while staying at home by sending a contribution pay to the order of HCSN and mailed to HCSN 4684 Ridge Rd., Wadsworth, OH 44281. Red Bird Mission

Red Bird Clinic partner to provide access to health care in the Appalachian Mountain region. Accessed by winding roads, tucked away in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky is the Red Bird Dental Clinic, a beacon of hope… Walking Warrior Winners.  http://rbmission.org

Operation HOMES

Operation HOMES is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the homeless of Medina County, Ohio. By rotational partnering with local churches for shelter, food and the administration of life skill programs, Operation HOMES provides the opportunity for individuals to be independent, both personally and financially.Granger Church provides housing and meals to homeless on a scheduled rotation.

Midwest Mission

Since opening for ministry in 2000, Midwest Mission has been showing God’s Love in practical ways through the distribution of education, health, micro-business, and disaster relief supplies meeting basic human needs around the world and around the corner. A “hands-on” mission experience is provided to those who serve at Midwest Mission which brings hope to those receiving supplies.
